David Bowie-
ZIGGY STARDUST
A Portion of the Proceeds of each of these figures sold shall be donated to The Cancer Research Institute of New York, NY.
This Figure is of David Bowie as he appears in 'Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture'. It celebrates one of the most incredible moments in music History and the groundbreaking album 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars'.
Reference photos from that legendary performance- Ziggy was joined by the Spiders from Mars who are: the incredible Mick Ronson on Guitar, Trevor Bolder on bass and Mick Woodmansey on drums.
This figure features a 100% Original headsculpt, and sculpted costume detail throughout the figure.
David Bowie worked with some of the most brilliant and inventive Wardrobe people in the Biz, including Yacco Takahashi and designer Kansai Yamamoto. He was fearless in his style, so hopefully this figure does justice to this iconic look.
This 6" Figure features articulation at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists and thighs.
"Keep your 'Lectric eye on me, babe.." For those, like me, who can't picture him without it, this Figure does feature David Bowie's permanently dilated eye, which creates the impression of his eyes being two different colors.
In his youth, David Bowie had an intense interest in Mime, which he would sometimes incorporate into his stage show and did in this performance. The gestures of this Figure were intended to capture that expressive energy.
Here you can see the sculptwork, which sought to capture the feel of Ziggy's incredible hair, as well as some of the striking designs on Ziggy's Kimono. For those who were curious, he does have his trademark permanently dilated eye.
If Ziggy came from the Stars, we Earthlings owe him a debt of gratitude. David Bowie changed the World. He changed many Lives through his work, including my own. He taught us all so much. We, his fans, shall be eternally grateful for what he shared with us all. "We can be Heroes, forever and ever."
